How to use Debug and Rcon.

First of all how to use Debug.

Debug is the main controll you have over your server and over your game it simple shows you the commands the computer receives with every button you press and evey movement you make. But the best part is it lets us spoof our buttton press and use commands that arnt even programed to our standard keyborad.

so how do we use it? First you need to make sure it's been enabled and that requires you to be in TF2 and to goto options/ keyboard / advanced and making sure debug is ticked. Once you have made sure the debug menu has been ticked you can then press ` in game and you should see a box with heaps of writing in it, this is the debug menu.

So now you have the debug menu what can i do with it? Well im going to teach you how to use RCON which is the remote server connect and is very helpfull if you are using a temp server but there are heaps of other things you can do but i just dont have the time or the paitents to post them all. Ok first of all to use RCON you need to know the RCON password and this is used to determine who is the admin of the server and who is just a client. So now you have the RCON password because you hired the server you now need to tell the server that your the Admin so in debug you type rcon_password (your password without the brackets) and you press enter. After that you simply type rcon and press enter again and that sends the server your password and says your the admin. If its the right password it should say somthing like [Dev]crackruckles autokick disabled, thats when you know that your the admin and now you can start using commands.

So now your admin what to do well first of all most people like having cheats or gravity changed so to add cheats on you type (rcon sv_cheats 1) - minuse the brackets and for gravity you type - (rcon sv_gravity 200) change 200 to what ever you want the gravity to be. What about turning friendly fire on well thats somthing like (rcon mp_friendlyfire 1) - (im not sure if thats 100% correct but its somthing like that).

yeah well the other day when i booked a server and had to leave i gave people the rcon password and nobody used it so i pressumed that this was because nobody else knew how.
